Book News: Meet the Bookstores Carrying EVERY OTHER CHRISTMAS

After an exciting book birthday on September 20th, 2022 for Katie Otey's debut picture book EVERY OTHER CHRISTMAS, it's been a pleasant surprise to see so many independent bookstores choosing to stock copies of this heartwarming story.

After his parents' divorce, a young biracial child spends every other Christmas celebrating the differing traditions between the African American and Colombian sides of his family.

A big thank you to the Society for Children's Book Writers & Illustrators (scbwi.org) for including Every Other Christmas in their Recommended Reading List for December 2022!

"For over twenty-seven years, this space of ours has been a vital part of the literary and cultural fabric of the East Bay. This place that we call home, it’s always changing. Industries rise and fall. People come and go. And the ground itself moves under our feet. This bowling alley turned bookstore, has been a community sounding board about these changes. A safe place in their midst. A discovery zone in their wake. In short, one of the best damn neighborhood bookstores you’re likely to find. Are we proud of this fact? You bet. But it’s not and has never been about us. Who are we? We’re glad you asked. We are East Bay Booksellers, and we are your neighborhood bookstore."

Our rare book room contains a variety of unusual titles, some of which date as far back as the 1600s. If you're looking for something special, let us know! We will be happy to check on it for you."

"Voted Australia's favorite bookstore by Australian Book Buyers."
